Upper Nantahala River
The main Stem of the Nantahala River and Delayed harvest Upper Nantahala River are loaded with trout. Now is the time to get out and fish early season flies. Early and late in the day, dry flies like BWO, Black Caddis, March Brown, Quill Gordon and Dark Hendrix work well. Nymphs including Hares Ear, Pheasant Tail, March Brown, Rubber Legged Prince and Golden Stones are good choices for spring fishing.
